Don Geronimo got his first task at WRWC in Rockton, Illinois at the age of 14, in radio. Dismissed by the General Manager for breaking the "beautiful music" format to play some Top 40 music, the very first time a structure broke is wasn’ted by it. But his love of radio never stopped growing, as his career accelerated.

At Fun Lovin’ 13Q Don was to and out the air within the significant industry of Pittsburgh, by the age of 16. At seventeen, he was employed in Nyc, doing the night shift at 99X. And he got fired. Again. And began the climb all the way back-up radio stations hierarchy.
From 1977-1979 Don worked in Providence, RI, Indianapolis, and Detroit. In 1979 he was appointed at WPGC in Washington, DC. From there it had been on to KIIS- FM in Los Angeles and WLS in Chicago. After moving to WBBM-FM in Chicago for mornings, he moved yet back to Washington DC in 1985.

The proceed to WAVA along with the birth of Don’s boy Bart in ’85 intended no further moving for a time. After performing the evening transfer on WAVA, Don was moved to mornings and partnered with Mike O’Meara about the WAVA Morning Zoo thru 1991. At that time, the renamed "Don & Mike Show" moved to WJFK and back to days in DC. The D&M show ran for over 20 years, and at one point was syndicated to more than 50 programs. Don retired from that exhibit in 2008, time for radio this season at KHTK in Sacramento. He kept there of 3 years, until he was dismissed. All over again!

That led to the inception of the! Don won the Billboard Air Personality Of The Year in 1978 (medium markets), and again in 1981 (key markets) and 1984 (key markets).
